Ninja gaiden obliteration techniques3/27/2023 ![]() ![]() Ninja Gaiden II seems to be a less aggressive effort and a way for Tecmo to make more money without making an entirely new game. Press and hold the button to focus your power, then release the button to unleash a powerful attack: the Ultimate Technique. The jump between the old 2D Ninja Gaiden games and the 3D Xbox version was amazing and Tecmo deserves credit for a job well done. The blood/gore doesn't really add more to the gameplay and any sane person will stop caring about the bloody animations 20 minutes in. Ninja Gaiden II seems easier then the first but it is also possible that I'm getting better. The game isn't the best looking but it does offer an intense amount of action with minimal framerate loss. Graphically speaking, Ninja Gaiden is polished and shiny but lacks any real lighting engine. Acclaimed designer Tomonobu Itagaki has altered the original title's fast-paced combat system to incorporate new weapons, attacks, and special finishing moves called "obliteration techniques." In an attempt to appease those who thought the original game was too challenging, the developers have included an automatic health regeneration system and a choice of four difficulty levels, ranging from "acolyte" to "master ninja." The all-new story mode follows Ryu in his trek from Tokyo to New York to a demon-populated netherworld. The action once again takes place from a third-person perspective set behind the nimble ninja, with highly cinematic showdowns taking place amidst exotic locales. Combat is pretty similar between all three NINJA GAIDEN games, though Sigma 2 and 3: Razor’s Edge add extra mechanics on top of the foundation laid by the first game.In Sigma 2, the Obliteration Technique is added, ammunition limit is removed for ranged weapons, more weapons were added, and an auto heal function was added. Strong, silent Ryu Hayabusa sharpens his sword for another acrobatic adventure through deadly environments in this exclusive sequel on Xbox 360.
